Mario's genuinely quite secure, but... Well, at this point, he's probably seen all he needs to see.

The way Mario hoists himself up on the railing does not look safe, and genuinely with the rain he probably shouldn't be trying it. But he fears nothing, and his gloves have some grip, and he's done this enough that he knows how to do it, even when things are slippery from the rain. With a kick off the side of the ship and a pivot over the railing, he lands on his feet, gymnast salute and all.
