[Childe laughs, he gets it. He figures if anyone was going to try to find out if anything was edible.. Well. It may as well be him. He'd learned to get by on the few things in the Abyss when he was young. Not all of the meat he'd eaten was cooked, either.
Fire was risky, in a place of endless darkness.]
Fair enough! I don't mind doing a little taste-testing myself.
[As they passed a bush that seemed to bear fruit, Childe would pick a couple of the berries, sniffing them. He'd squish one between his finger and his thumb, licking some of the juice experimentally, ready to spit it out and move on if it made his mouth numb, or anything swell.
If he was allergic, or it was poisonous, he'd probably die anyways, but eh. That was the risk he was taking, here. It makes him wonder, idly, if his physiology was different enough in Foul Legacy form that poisons might not affect him the same. It wasn't something he'd tested before.
The berry was sweet, at the very least.
Casper mentioning he was too young to drink had Childe look at him, a little perplexed, almost sure they were closer in age. Far be it from him to judge, he'd been sneaking shots of Firewater here and there since he'd been enlisted, but the drinking age in Snezhnaya was 18.]
I suppose it doesn't matter all too much to you then, if your body doesn't let you feel any of it, huh.
[The berry he'd tasted seemed fine enough, just weird. Not quite something he was used to trying. He licks his fingers clean.]
