"The ship is... walking."

Honestly, of all the things Romeo has experienced in his unfortunate life, this doesn't sound that wild. And this fellow seems to believe it, so Romeo can't help but feel that, well, maybe the ship is walking.

He closes the remaining distance between them, happy to not be seen as a threat for once. Romeo wraps his hands around the rain-slick railing — he would rather not perish tonight, thank you very much.

At first, there's only darkness and rain. Clouds marring the sky. Isn't there some saying about counting the seconds between lightning strikes? Romeo counts up to five when a spark of lightning cracks across the darkness, and...

"Oh. Well, that's definitely not something you see everyday." Or so Romeo assumes. He's never left his hometown before, but surely a ship with legs isn't normal. It's absurd, even. It has to be. "This seems a lot more complex than a train. That's what most people would use to travel over land, right?"
