[ In truth, he had not thought Furina would go out of her way to approach him, rather than the other way around. He'd expected to have to go to her to introduce himself as an ally. However, he supposed she might not have anything better to do. There are no trials for her to watch, and no plays for her to act in, on this rotten ship.

She is striking in her appearance, elaborate, pristine outfit marred only by the dampness that clung to everything on the ship, though she didn't seem to mind it much. She has no Vision, but what use does a god have for one? He's seen her before, from afar. Once in a play (and her acting was immaculate. Even he had been impressed by how effortlessly she transformed her manner of speech and way of moving,) and a few times in her public appearances at large events in Fontaine.

Here, in a face to face conversation, it almost feels too intimate to be this close to a god. But he has never been one to respect gods, and Focalors seemed to enjoy being personable to mortals anyway, for she did not exude the presence of a god.

As the God of Justice, she was no doubt evaluating him at this very moment. Whether he was worthy (of being her ally? Of keeping his newly attained life? She could not know the sins he's committed though.) Either way, it would be in his interest to figure out in what way she embodied her divine ideal and align his actions to them. He's not nearly foolish enough to challenge an Archon again.

With a flourish, he greets her with a perfectly executed Fontanian bow, hat in hand as is polite.

Greetings, Focalors. [ Such an impolite way to address a god ] I didn't expect you to go out of your way to meet me. I suppose you must want to evaluate a new ally with your own eyes.

I am but a— [ not a nameless wanderer anymore, unfortunately ] —simple scholar from Sumeru. For the time being, I offer my knowledge and skills to you. Use me as you see fit, my Lady.
