SO some power clarifications, re; the FAQ, for Alastor here. He's a bit OP.

Relevant to his powerset are: supernatural perceptions (visions, seeing spirits, sensing magical energy, etc); hammerspace/dimensional pockets and storage; and teleportation and dimension-hopping abilities.

To clarify: Alastor is a dead guy turned demon, so he has the ability to pick up on spirits and energy. He can also collect ambient, lingering soul energy to create minions using blood magic. His hammerspace/conjuring abilities appear to be limitless in canon and include clothing for other characters, cameras, a microphone cane, alcohol, etc. He can create portals to summon minions and characters with whom he has contracts. He can teleport short distances using shadows.

PHEW. Sorry, I know it's a lot. I propose the following nerfs!

* Spirit stuff: Able to perceive which characters were dead before arrival (with player permission) and sense ambient spirits/souls, but unable to collect or use that energy without mod approval and discussion. Sorry Al, no minions out of thin air.
* Hammerspace/Conjuring: Limited to inanimate objects no larger than an umbrella or saxophone. No living things, weapons, food, or beverage. More taxing on his energy levels, limiting their use. Items may disappear if they are out of Alastor's sight and perception. He gave you a new pair of clothes? They may vanish into nothing if he takes his mind off them, sorry! Exception is his microphone staff, which is more part of his body than it is an object.
* Teleportation: Alastor can move through the shadows to places he can see or that he knows the location of. He can summon characters with whom he has made soul contracts (if anyone is dumb enough to take him up on it) but no others. He can teleport small (closet-sized) spaces with a heavy drain on his energy.

sorry for all the tldr and I understand if it's all too much of an undertaking for a simple TDM!
